Journalist, blogger, baker, mother. Hooked on social media. A native of Louisville, Ky., moved to Wantage, Oxfordshire, England, in 2001.
At ourcookiejournal.blogspot.co.uk, I’m transcribing a journal I’ve kept since 1983 about my cookie-baking experiences with my sister, and other family members. Since 2013 is the 20-year anniversary of Our Cookie Journal’s inception, I thought I’d publish it as an e-book once I’m finished transferring it as a digital copy.
I use this space for my current cookie baking exploits, whether it’s something easy and spur-of-the-moment, or a labor of love and dedication. I’ll also offer the occasional tip, trick or technique. I might discuss a product or a particular baking ingredient. I also use any excuse to bake a new cookie: holidays, naturally; but also the “national” days (like National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day); birthdays, sleepovers and parties. I nearly always have a batch of Hedgehog Cookies in the freezer too!
I’ll also curate cookie-related stories, recipes and other media here. Please join me if you love to bake and eat cookies and feel free to comment, email, follow, share, like or just read. Thanks so much for popping by. 🙂
